MELISSIA SCHULZ

We all know how the slightest details can make the biggest difference when it comes to designing your space. As your designer, I know how crucial the little touches are when it comes to the big picture and I am fully committed to understanding your needs and preferences before I start working.

My passion for art, architecture, and design started well before college, but I followed my passion and I earned a Bachelors of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon. This means I understand the art and science of commercial and residential interior design. When choosing a designer, schooling matters.

I am NCIDQ Certified which means I passed the most stringent tests in interior design after earning a 5-year professional degree and my apprenticeship under other certified designers and architects. Every year I continue to educate myself about new products, codes, and regulations to maintain my certification. Not to mention keeping up-to-date on trends in the market across the nation. Hiring a certified designer ensures you're hiring someone who has the proper training and knowledge to meet all of your needs.

I have over 25 years of experience. I have worked in commercial design since 1995 and residential design since 2000. My years of experience will give you confidence as we work together. When designing your space, experience counts.

My passion is great design that fits my clients. I’m dedicated to helping you create great designs in your space you can be proud to show off. I will work with you each step of the way to ensure your needs and style are at the center of our work together.

SONJA CAPASSO

Our Project Designer, Sonja Capasso, is one-of-a-kind at Schulz Design. She was inspired by design since youth, and followed her journey since then. After attending Palm Beach State College in Florida, she earned her Associates in Science in Interior Design Technology. With more than 5+ years of experience in interior design, her true passion for rendering and drafting has led her to this wonderful position where she focuses on just that. In addition, she is dedicated to using organic, natural, and sustainable products. This has led to her accreditation with LEED AP ID+C. Although she is a perfectionist, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty on remodel projects. She is an all-hands-in professional and that’s what we love!
